Agam, a leading provider of architectural systems for trade shows, exhibits, interiors and retail environments, announces the addition of Metrideck™, an innovative new double-deck system, to its product portfolio. Designed to advance the possibilities of multi-level exhibit environments, Metrideck offers greater flexibility, efficiency and customization while providing a more accessible and cost-effective approach to double-deck structures.
Created by highly respected industry veteran Tim Searle, Metrideck™ reflects a design philosophy shaped by his university training and engineering scholarship at Rolls Royce. Known for approaching challenges from a different perspective, Searle focuses on the core elements of a problem to develop solutions that are both innovative and practical.
That approach is at the heart of Metrideck™. Unlike other modular deck systems that can complicate integration with the surrounding exhibit structure, Metrideck™ was designed for greater versatility from the start. It seamlessly integrates with existing tool-free frame systems, while its one-meter increments align with standard frame sizes. This makes it easy to scale and adapt to different footprints, giving designers greater freedom to create cohesive environments.
“For Agam, Metrideck™ is a natural extension of our existing product portfolio and we couldn’t be more excited to be the exclusive manufacturing partner for Tim Searle’s latest innovation,” said Adam Beckett, CEO of Agam, “The system’s advanced engineering and simple installation will make double-decks a more financially attainable option for a broader range of exhibitors and applications.”
When paired with Agam’s tool-free NEXUS Frame system, Metrideck™ provides a highly configurable system that combines structural performance with greater creative flexibility, while requiring significantly fewer parts than traditional deck systems. That reconfigurability can provide meaningful efficiencies for exhibit houses and brands managing programs across multiple shows, footprints and venues.
Exclusive to Agam, Metrideck™ product highlights include:
- Metrideck’s Patent-Pending System Includes Quicset™: A patented “double dovetail” design allows beams to lock directly onto the main columns without bolts or tools, simplifying assembly and significantly reducing setup time.
- Highly Modular, Reconfigurable Design: Beams can be reconfigured into multiple lengths, while the system’s one-meter increments allow for a wide range of rectilinear configurations. Modular curved sections at 1-meter, 2-meter, 3-meter and 6-meter lengths and curved railings can also be incorporated, expanding design possibilities beyond traditional rectangular decks.
- Flexible, Usable Space: Both levels can be customized to meet the needs of the environment. Upper decks can remain completely open or incorporate partially or fully enclosed rooms, while the space below can be configured for presentations, product demonstrations, meetings or private enclosed spaces.
- Integrated Walls and Handrails: Agam walls can function as handrails in place of traditional top-mounted railings, creating a 64-1/2 inch high graphic surface. By allowing structural and branding elements to work together, the approach reduces separate components while creating a more cohesive finished environment.
- Rental and Purchase Options: Metrideck™ can be rented, purchased or use a combination of both. Customers can purchase core components and supplement them with rental components as project needs change.
The result is a highly configurable system that combines structural performance with greater creative flexibility, while requiring significantly fewer parts than traditional deck systems. By removing many of the constraints associated with traditional systems, Metrideck™ gives designers greater freedom to bring more ambitious, creative environments to life.
“What excites me most about MetrideckTM joining Agam’s portfolio is the opportunity to solve today’s design challenges while unlocking possibilities we haven’t even imagined yet. By combining Metrideck™ with Agam’s capabilities, the deck becomes part of the design itself, opening up entirely new levels of creativity and flexibility, while eliminating production barriers for designers,” said Tim Searle, Metrideck™ Inventor.
Agam is now taking orders for Metrideck™ to rent or purchase for delivery beginning in October 2026. For more information, please click here.
