Scranton, Pennsylvania (November 5, 2025) – Noble Biomaterials, a global leader in antimicrobial and conductive material technologies, will take the stage at Functional Fabric Fair Portland, highlighting its leadership in responsible innovation, transparency, and collaboration across the performance textile industry.
As part of Functional Fabric Fair’s Day 0 education and workshop program, Noble Biomaterials’ Chief Marketing Officer Allon Cohne will join the Innovator’s Panel alongside Michael Murphy of e.dye, discussing their groundbreaking collaboration: Ionic+® PRISM – the world’s first permanent color x permanent antimicrobial (anti-odor) fabric technology.
Together, Cohne and Murphy will share how Ionic+® PRISM addresses two of the textile industry’s most pressing challenges: reducing water, energy, and chemical use in both production and everyday garment care. The session will also clarify widespread misconceptions surrounding the EU’s regulation of silver, providing insight into Noble’s Bio-Physical Response (BPR) platform - an advanced, responsible approach to antimicrobial innovation developed in alignment with global compliance standards.
“Functional Fabric Fair is a critical venue for honest, science-driven conversations,” said Allon Cohne, CMO, Noble Biomaterials. “We’re not just responding to market changes, we’re helping lead them through collaboration, transparency, and innovation.”
On the show floor at Booth 773, Noble will debut a full suite of new Ionic+® performance fabrics, developed in partnership with technical teams across Asia:
- Ionic+® Botanical – plant-based antimicrobial technology for natural fiber applications
- Ionic+® Pro – advanced odor control and thermoregulation for high-performance apparel
- Ionic+® CoolPro – engineered cooling performance with built-in odor protection
New for this season, Noble will also introduce its “Breakout Retail Performer” series, spotlighting retail brands redefining their categories through responsible innovation. At Functional Fabric Fair Portland, the featured brand is Rest whose performance bedding is transforming the global bedding category through temperature-regulating, sustainably made products.
Together, Rest and Noble have created the Evercool® Cooling Comforter and Sheets, a collection that uses Noble’s Ionic+® silver technology to eliminate 99.9% of odor-causing bacteria, keeping bedding fresher for longer. It’s performance bedding that brings the same high standards of innovation found in performance apparel to the home.
